Today we can announce good news from our partner in Southeast Asia, Sultan Dr. Tarib. He is currently traveling in the earthquake-damaged area near Padang in Sumatra, Indonesia to establish with us another ‘Geothermic Power Plant’.

This new GEO Power Plant (GPP) facility will be constructed as an acute relief project with many advanced features and will offer protection against future earthquakes, floods or other disasters. In addition, this GPP will secure the cheapest electricity while powering a desalination plant to provide enough potable water supply to the residents of Padang in the future.

Sultan Dr. Taswin Tarib announced to primary interested parties the allocation of approximately US $25 B (the first stage of funding) for projects in the categories of:

- Blue Energy
- Transportation Systems
- Integrated International Hospitals
- Education
- Integrated Farming Industries
- Integrated Fishing Industries

Included in the Blue Energy category is funding assigned to clean GEOthermic powerplant facilities with their approved permitting, in development by Sirex, Inc.

A portion of the private investment plan, initiated by the Royal Family, is also designed to create jobs in the U.S., buy U.S. products and otherwise stimulate the U.S. economy.

US Consortium proposes to turn Lapindo Mudflow into Power Plant

The consortium consists of Houston-based company Vlociti Holding Inc, Sirex PHS, Preston US and Turbo Jacks, the Berlin, Germany-based company which owns the relevant technology. PT Jatayu Sarana Investasi is the project owner/coordinator, as well as acting as their consultant and sub-contractor in Indonesia.

Vlociti Holding Inc President Director, Taswin Tarib, presented the proposal to the office of Vice President Jusuf Kalla. Representing the Vice President was special staff coordinator, Alwi Hamu, who studied the proposal.

Taswin said his company is not a newcomer in the geothermal business, having carried out explorations on geothermal sites in the US and Germany, each with more than 300 megawatt source of power.

Taswin said the electricity generated from geothermal heat in Sidoarjo can be sold to state-owned electricity company PLN for 2-3 Euro cents per kWh, and can contribute towards solving the electricity crisis in Indonesia.

We are not asking for any collateral from the government or the PLN, nor will we use Indonesian government funds. The funds will come from our group, he said at the Vice Presidents office yesterday.

U.S. firm mulls building geothermal power plant from Sidoarjo mudflow

A U.S.-based consortium Vlocity Holding Inc. said it plans to build a 2000-Megawatt (MW) geothermal power plant from the Sidoarjo mudflow.

Vlocity director Taswin Tarib said his consortium could invest US$5 billion in the project should the government agree with the plan.

"Our plan looked feasible as the Sidoarjo mudflow temperature could reach 40 to 60 Celsius degree daily," he said.

The electricity from the mudflow would be later sold to the State Electricity Firm (PLN) at 2-3 euro cents per kilowatt hour, Taswin said.

The power plant could also create some 2,500 jobs for Indonesians, he said, adding that the plan had been presented to Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
Vice president special expert staff Alwi Hamu said the vice president had given a green signal to conduct an analysis of the power plant proposal.
